Verena Prinz - Team Leader of the Library on Wheels


2012-2013 spent a voluntary social year in the Casita del Árbol in Tipitapa, became an active member of the association one year after her return and has been on the board since 2016. She organizes the work of the Library on Wheels group and is the contact person for our local project manager and Library on Wheels driver Javier Bobadilla.


After completing her Bachelor's degree in Cultural Studies,

she completed a Master's degree in cultural management and cultural education and is working at

ENGAGEMENT GLOBAL in the area of funding for projects abroad - bengo.







Matthias Kölle - Accounting of the Library on Wheels


was an intern at the German-Nicaraguan Chamber of Commerce Abroad (AHK Nicaragua) in 2019. He has been supporting the Bookmobile team since the end of 2020, taking on auxiliary work in accounting.


Matthias started his traineeship as a teacher at commercial schools in 2021.

Lena Regel - Fundraising


was a volunteer in the Library on Wheels project in 2017. In addition to the normal Library on Wheels operation, she held drawing courses and reading hours for visitors large and small. Lena helps with fundraising and communication about the project.


Lena works as a trainee teacher in Krefeld.

Sophia Dieterle - Coordination volunteers


did a one-year "weltwärts" volunteer service in our partner project La Casita del Árbol in Tipitapa in 2012-2013 and has been an active member of the association since 2014. She co-initiated the book bus project and is responsible for the preparation and supervision of the German volunteers in the Library on Wheels project. She is also jointly responsible for planning a new workshop on local reforestation in the villages visited.


Sophia studies international relations at the University of Passau.

Aike Vathauer - Sembrando un Futuro


was the first German volunteer in the Library on Wheels project in 2016 and helped to build the project on site. She is successfully involved in fundraising and led the one-year pilot project "sembrando un futuro" in 2019/2020, in which children learned about environmental protection and sustainability in an age-appropriate manner and grew their own organic vegetables.


Aike is currently studying international communication and translation in Hildesheim.
